This service supports families and individuals who self-hire staff by providing targeted onboarding and skill-based training aligned with the individual’s habilitation or life plan.

Consultation focuses on:

• Clear understanding of the individual’s goals and daily support needs

• Communication systems and strategies

• Behavioral and social-emotional supports

• Executive functioning and independence-building practices

• Person-centered best practices for community participation

Through hands-on coaching and real-world examples, newly hired staff gain the tools and confidence needed to deliver consistent, effective, and person-centered supports from the start.

This consultation partners with families and individuals to evaluate how effectively self-hired staff are implementing services outlined in the self-directed plan.

The process may include:

• Structured observation of support sessions

• Review of progress toward habilitation outcomes

• Collaborative feedback with families and staff

• Identification of strengths and growth areas

• Recommendations for strategy adjustments or additional supports

This service promotes accountability, quality assurance, and continuous improvement, empowering families to make informed decisions about their self-directed services.

EVERY TREE Consultation Services Rate and Approval Process

• The rate for consultation services is $55.00 per hour

• A written outline of services will be developed prior to approval. This outline will include:

• Description of consultation supports to be provided

• Connection to the individual’s self-directed habilitation/life plan goals

• Expected outcomes and implementation strategies

• Estimated frequency and duration of services

Services will begin only after the outline has been reviewed and approved to ensure alignment with the individual’s needs and self-direction requirements.
