Family Education and Training

Service Description:

EVERY TREE provides Family Education and Training consultation and classes to support families and caregivers in building the knowledge and practical skills needed to strengthen consistency across home and community environments while promoting independence, communication, social-emotional regulation, and community participation.

Consultation and class sessions include individualized instruction, modeling, coaching, and feedback to help implement an individual’s Life Plan goals effectively.

Service Components May Include:

  • Training on communication strategies (including visual supports and AAC as applicable)

  • Instruction on behavioral and social-emotional support strategies

  • Guidance on building independence and daily living skills

  • Support for implementing person-centered and community-based practices

  • Review and problem-solving related to implementation challenges

Service Delivery Method:

  • In-person and/or virtual – by appointment only

  • Individualized to family needs

  • Includes modeling, coaching, and guided practice

Parent Education Classes:

  • Interactive classes designed to provide practical strategies and guidance for caregivers

Rate:

  • Consultation (in-person or virtual): $55.00 per hour

  • Parent Education Classes: $25.00 per class session

Approval & Funding:

These programs may be funded through a Self-Direction Budget or FET funds. Please connect with your FI and Broker for more information on funding options.
