Community Connections
Individuals with autism and related disabilities often require structured and intentionally designed social opportunities to develop foundational social skills. Effective instruction includes direct and explicit teaching, paired with guided practice that follows a part-to-whole instructional sequence. Cognitive and behavioral strategies are used to create consistent, structured learning experiences that support skill acquisition and generalization.
Social skill deficits are a primary characteristic for many individuals with disabilities today, and targeted intervention is essential. Instruction must be research-based and implemented with fidelity to ensure meaningful outcomes. During the summer, EVERY TREE offers a four-week intensive day camp focused on social skill development. Throughout the school year, ongoing classes are provided at the EVERY TREE Learning Center to support continued growth and skill maintenance.
